2025 BENEFIT CONCERT

This year’s concert is a fundraiser for the Mitchell County Development Foundation, an organization that is working tirelessly to help Mitchell County businesses rebuild and reopen after Hurricane Helene.

Our concert’s headliner is OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW, which got its start right here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Join America’s most beloved old-time string band as they sing their signature song “Wagon Wheel,” share their newest hits, and celebrate the history and mystery of the Blue Ridge Mountains. 

  • WHEN: Saturday October 25; doors open at 5:30.

  • WHERE: Three Peaks Enrichment Center: 97 Pinebridge Avenue in Spruce Pine, NC.

  • TICKETS: Tickets cost $30.00 and can be purchased here. Please note that purchasing a ticket means that you agree to the EVENT DETAILS listed below.

  • BENEFICIARY: 100% of funds received will be donated directly to the Mitchell County Development Foundation. Hilloween has covered all costs of this concert, with no financial obligation to the Mitchell County Development Foundation, the county itself, or the city of Spruce Pine.

5:30 pm: Doors open. Come early, this is a standing event and spots near the stage will go quickly.

6:30pm: Opening act: Bandana Rythym

7:30pm: Headliner Old Crow Medicine Show

9:00 pm: Concert ends

BY PURCHASING A TICKET YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • This is a rain or shine event.

  • Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferrable, and cannot be resold.

  • This is a standing event. Chairs are not allowed. Hilloween will provide a ADA seating area for individuals not able to stand.

  • The following items will not be allowed into the Three Peaks Enrichment Center:

    • guns, knifes or other weapons,

    • large backpacks or items larger than a regular sized purse,

    • outside food and drink—food, non-alcoholic beverages, beer, and wine will be available for purchase at the event.

  • HIlloween and local police reserve the right to remove anyone from the event, including intoxicated individuals.

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS

OLD CROW MEDICINE SHOW: Old Crow Medicine Show got their start busking on street corners in 1998, from New York state and up through Canada, winning audiences along the way with their boundless energy and spirit. They eventually found themselves in Boone, North Carolina where they caught the attention of folk icon Doc Watson while playing in front of a pharmacy. He invited the band to play at his festival, MerleFest, and the rest is history. It’s been over twenty years since these humble beginnings. The band has gone on to receive the honor of being inducted as members of the Grand Ole Opry and have won two Grammy Awards: “Best Folk Album” for Remedy (2014) and “Best Long Form Music Video” for Big Easy Express (2013). Additionally, their classicsingle, “Wagon Wheel”, received theRIAA’s Double-Platinum certification in 2019 for sellingover 2,000,000 copies while the band’s debut album O.C.M.S. has been certified Gold (500,000copies). The band’s latestGrammy nominated album‘Jubilee’ (Aug 2023) released via ATORecords

BANDANA RHYTHM: Four Mitchell and Yancey County natives have combined not only their incredible musical talents, but as well their genuine love and passion for playing— and play they do! The unique sounds of Bandana Rhythm echo the traditional sounds of the mountains such as Celtic, gospel, bluegrass and folk.
